Returns & Refunds Policy

We stand by what we deliver — and we make it right when things go wrong.

At Moving Container Center, customer satisfaction isn’t optional — it’s standard. Every container purchase is backed by a clear, fair, and transparent return and refund policy. Whether you’re buying a single used container or multiple units for commercial use, we aim to ensure you’re satisfied with both the product and the experience.


30-Day Return Window

All customers are eligible for a 30-day return window from the date of delivery.

If you receive a container that does not match the condition, specification, or type agreed upon, you may request a return within this time frame. Valid reasons for return include:

  • Mislabeling or incorrect delivery
  • Structural issues not disclosed prior to sale
  • Failure to meet the guaranteed “Wind & Water Tight” condition
  • Damage occurring prior to delivery
  • Company error or internal oversight

To initiate a return, contact your sales representative or email sales@movingcontainercenter.com with your order number and reason for return.


Exchange Policy for Defective or Incorrect Containers

In cases where Moving Container Center is at fault — such as shipping the wrong container or delivering one that does not meet the agreed condition — we will:

  • Exchange the container at no cost to the customer
  • Arrange for repair or replacement of the affected unit
  • Or, provide a full refund depending on the situation and client preference

These scenarios are prioritized, and a resolution is typically arranged within a few business days of notice.


General Conditions for Returns

For containers being returned for reasons not caused by Moving Container Center, the following conditions apply:

  • The unit must be empty, clean, and in the same condition as delivered
  • Return shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed
  • Containers that have been modified, altered, or damaged after delivery may not be eligible for return
  • Returns must be approved in writing by your assigned sales representative

We always strive to find a fair and reasonable outcome, even in discretionary return cases.


Refund Processing

Once a returned container is received and inspected, approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days. Refunds are issued via bank transfer to the original payment account. You will receive:

  • A refund confirmation statement
  • Transaction details for your records

We do not issue refunds to third-party accounts, cash, or alternate methods.


Exceptions

  • Clearance containers (marked and sold as-is at discounted prices) may be final sale, unless the issue is related to delivery error or misrepresentation.
  • Containers damaged by customer handling, misuse, or third-party modifications post-delivery are not eligible for return.
  • Once a container has been shipped overseas or exported, it is no longer eligible for return under this policy.

Please read your invoice and sales agreement carefully before completing your purchase. Your assigned representative will walk you through the condition expectations and clarify what applies to your specific order.
